Introducing the Cities Book Club, sponsored by the Westside Urban Forum and Village Well!
Cities are about bringing people together--so what’s more urban than a book club? This will be a regular event to read and appreciate books related to Los Angeles and urbanism around the world. Discussions will be led by WUF members and special guests, including scholars, advocates, public officials, and land use professionals.
Members of WUF (westsideurbanforum.com), Village Well, and anyone else interested in discussing stories and scholarship of our great, flawed metropolis are welcome.
For our inaugural meeting on August 3rd, we'll be taking a look at the classic City of Quartz by Mike Davis.
